General presentation

Do you want to be involved in tomorrow's economic stakes for your future job? In company risks management, insurance in economic activity, financing public policy, industrial forecasts, sustainable development and climate stakes or economic view on the large amount of data in social networks?

The quality of education you will receive in this bachelor's degree will allow you to acquire a high level in economics and mathematics for you future job. This unusual training includes mathematics and methodological techniques necessary in the treatment of today's economic issues. You will also learn econometrics – which is the mathematics study relation between different economic phenomenons.

Requirements and useful qualities

  • You like mathematics and had a good level in this subject in high school.
  • You like applying scientific reasoning to economic issues.
  • You show an ability to analyze and synthesize.
  • You wish to acquire thinking and reasoning abilities and mastering fundamentals (essay, commentary, comprehension).
  • You are curious and open-minded.
  • You are persevering and constant.
  • You are organised and autonomous.
  • You have a Baccalaureate or equivalent, preferably in Sciences or Economics and Social Sciences.

Learning environment

  • Unusual training shared between the Department of Economics and Management and the Department of Mathematics and Informatic.
  • You will attend shared courses with students in Mathematics and Computer Science and in Economics and Management, provided by high skilled teachers and researchers from both Department.
  • Use the largest university library in Economics and Management of Eastern France.
  • In the Language Ressource Center (Centre de Ressources en Langues-CRL) you have access to numerous DVD in original version and multimedia exercises to practice languages and French as Foreign Language (FLE).
  • Attend conferences linked to economic news.
