Description

This course aims at getting familiar with the key concepts, methods and tools related to traditional project management. More specifically, it introduces basic techniques which should be mastered by any project manager for setting up a project organization, structuring project work and using a project schedule. Moreover, it provides students an overview of the world's leading standard for project management : the PMBOK Guide.  

Compétences visées

After completing this course the students should:

• Understand the key principles of project management;
• Understand the basic project management terminology, as defined in the PMBOK Guide;
• Be able to define the roles and responsibilities within a project organization;
• Master methods and tools to structure work within a cross-functional team;
• Know how to develop and monitor a project schedule using a Gantt chart.
